Are you interested in serving God practically? Working in an international environment? Come to Camp Holsby and volunteer in serving our various groups, camps and retreats. For questions and more information, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Holsby is a place where hundreds of people gather from all over the world to fellowship and share their relationship with God. Our facilities are busy year-round, with Bible school running September through May, and camps and retreats running April through mid-September. We have both summer and long-term opportunities with the program, kitchen, hospitality and maintenance teams.
We provide free room and board for all our volunteer staff.
(June – Sept)
As a volunteer on the program team, you will take part in facilitating groups that participate in programs at Camp Holsby from one day to two weeks in length.
You will be trained to use our high ropes course and other adventure activities in a safe manner, and will also be equipped to begin to use these activities as a means of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with our guests. While most of the work assignments will involve facilitating guests with different program elements, you will also assist with other logistical and practical areas as needed, including for example helping with room cleaning, dishes or various maintenance tasks.
A minimum commitment of eight weeks is required to participate with the program/adventure team. For more details on arrival and departure times for the program team contact us.
(June – Sept / Sept – Aug)
As a member of the kitchen team, you will be primarily involved in food preparation and various cleaning responsibilities pertaining to the kitchen.
You will be expected to comply with safety regulations in regards to cleanliness and personal hygiene. A basic understanding of food handling and preparation is recommended, but more important is the desire to learn, to have a good attitude and a desire to serve the Lord.
During the school year, you will have the opportunity to work alongside students in a leadership role and to be more involved in the personal aspect of ministry. Our desire is that while you are at Holsby your relationship with your Savior would prosper whether you are doing menial tasks in the kitchen or having meaningful conversation with staff, students or guests.
June – Sept / Sept – Aug)
As a volunteer on the maintenance team, you will help maintain the historic wood structures that make up the Holsby campus.
You will be working on both the interior and exterior of the various buildings such as the dorms and chapel. You will be assigned various projects according to your ability and experience.
During the Bible school session, you will also work alongside the students during their regular weekly work day.
(June – Sept)
As a member of the hospitality team, you will have the opportunity serve our guests in many practical ways. The hospitality team handles a variety of responsibilities that are important in creating an atmosphere of peace, comfort and Christian hospitality.
Whether it is helping with the dishes, cleaning, gardening or other practical tasks, you will be showing the love of Jesus to the people around you and so experience Jesus’ life in you.
